1. What do you love most about the romance genre?
I guess when I read romance it’s all about the ‘happy-ever-after’ for me.
2. Share the titles of three scorchers on your bedside table.
I hate to admit it but I rarely read print books anymore. I don’t have a bedside table either – I do have a bedside chair ;) Here are the last 3 books I’ve read.
Crossing the Line by Kele Moon. This book has everything I enjoy, a bit of sport, it’s the latest in a series and a has little bit of spice.
If You Can’t Stand the Heat by HK Carlton. Loved it. Hot!
Rocky Mountain Freedom by Vivian Arend. I love this series and pre-ordered a copy months ago, I finished it the day it arrived on my kindle J
3. Who are some of your favorite romance writers?
I have a few must read authors, N.J. Walters, Laurann Dohner, Jess Dee, Lexxie Couper, Dianne Duvall, Lara Adrian, Jennifer Ashley – I have a long list actually!
4. How do you find balance with your writing and real life?
I usually write during the day, my sons are all old enough to fend for themselves and I do the evil day job from home, so I have plenty of alone time. Weekends are usually all about the family and sport – unless I have edits.
5. What makes you happy?
Having my family around me, watching sport and getting lost in a good book.
6. What fears do you face with the release of each book?
The same as every author I suspect, that no-one will like my story.
7. What do you want readers to take from your books?
That rugby league is the most awesome sport ever. Lol! I really just hope that maybe a few readers might enjoy my books the same way I enjoy my favourite authors.
8. Do you have a book in your house that is destroyed because you've read it so much?
9. If you could spend an hour with anyone dead or alive, who and why?
I would really love to meet N.J. Walters. Her books introduced me to erotic fiction. In my younger years I did read a few Mills and Boon books that an aunt gave me but it has only been in the last seven or so years that I’ve become addicted to the
romance genre. Now I’m a reader and an author. I always thank N.J for introducing me to this life.
10. Do you set yourself strict rules while you're writing?
No rules, I just write what the muse tells me to.
11. Describe yourself in 3 words.
Introvert, obsessive, sports-fan. (I cheated with the last one)
12. How many times were you turned down before you finally got published?
I got lucky, an editor at Totally Bound (previously Total-E-Bound Publishing) sent a request for a full manuscript on my first submission attempt. I did have to tweak my manuscript a little before I got to sign on the dotted line. I ended up with four contracts before I received my first round of edits.
Sarah’s Soldier Book six in the League of Love Series
It’s what they have in common that drives a wedge between them—childhoods tormented by loss and heartbreak that have hardened their hearts.
When Sarah, digital and social media coordinator—or ‘digi-chick’, as she’s been called—is asked to babysit the special guest at the Jets Rugby League Club’s annual Anzac Day clash, she’s hesitant. What will the returning war hero, wounded from battle, think when he lays eyes on her dyed, flaming red hair and her face full of metal piercings? More than likely, the rule-following, uniform-wearing conformist will take one look at her and double-time it away from her feral-looking behind.
But the sexual attraction that sizzles between Sarah and Dylan is evident from their first touch, and despite both having built walls around their hearts, as protection from childhood loss and pain, they are keen to take advantage of the sheet-scorching, orgasm-exploding sexual tension that is simmering between them.
Of course, falling in love was never part of the plan.
